MASTERPLAN MODELS

Masterplan models, or map table models, are a great selling tools for large residential developments.

This large 1:1000 scale masterplan model for a new residential estate had to fulfill several unique requirements. The challenge of this brief includes the accurate topographical representation of the landform, with two prominent hills allowing beautiful views of the ocean. Special attention was also given to key lifestyle selling points, such as large areas of natural bushland, an abundant number of planted trees, and the oceanside. The residential zones were modelled diagrammatically with multiple colours allowing different residential lot types to be represented easily. The commercial lots were built to be removable with room for electrics to be installed so that the model can be updated as the estate matures over the years.

TIMBER MODELS

Timber models are a tasteful, timeless choice that create a comfortable centrepiece whether in your sales office, waiting room or a gallery. English Lime, Jarrah, Black Walnut, Maple, Birch, and Cherry are just some of the different solid woods and veneers we use in our timber models. The earthy texture and tones allow the viewer to move away from materiality concerns and focus on form and design. While most popularly used for massing and context, the material holds itself equally well with representing detailed building envelopes. Timber models are a tasteful, timeless choice that create a comfortable centrepiece whether in your sales office, waiting room or a gallery.
